What we collect
When you submit a photo through this site, we collect the details you provide: your name and email address, whether you are the hunter (and, if not, the hunter’s name and your confirmation that you have their permission), the Iowa county or region and hunting season, your caption, the photo you upload, and your consent confirmations. We also record the date and time of your submission and of your email confirmation.
How we use it
We use your email to send you a confirmation link and, if needed, to contact you about your submission. Approved photos and captions are posted publicly to the Trophy Bucks of Iowa Facebook Page, Instagram account, and the Trophy Bucks of Iowa website (trophybucksofiowa.com). We keep a record of your consent confirmations as proof that we have permission to post your photo.
Minors
You must be 18 years of age or older to submit through this site — we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. Photos featuring a hunter under 18 may only be submitted by an adult who is the hunter’s parent or legal guardian, or who has their parent/guardian’s permission, and we record that consent with the submission. Parents and guardians can ask about or remove a photo of their child at any time — see Data Deletion.
What we don’t do
We do not sell your personal information. We do not connect to or post from your social media accounts — we only post from our own Trophy Bucks of Iowa accounts.
Retention & contact
We keep submission records for as long as needed to operate the page and document consent. To ask about or delete your information, contact us through the Trophy Bucks of Iowa page — see Data Deletion for exactly how.
We count aggregate, cookie-less website traffic (daily page views and visitor totals) to understand how the site is used. This uses no cookies and stores no personal information — visitors are de-duplicated within a single day using a one-way, daily-rotating code that cannot be traced back to you or linked across days.
When you message our Facebook page, the text of your message may be processed by an automated AI service to route the conversation to the right place (for example, to recognize that you want your trophy featured, or that you’d like a person to reply). Only the message text is sent for this purpose — never your name or account — and it is not used to train AI models.
